Sam Hirds EP for sale in Island Crafts only £7.50. Mull singer songwriter Sam Hird, who lives on the Isle of Mull, is launched his new EP in May, thanks, in part, to the team at An Tobar in Tobermory. Sam manages the beautiful Carsaig estate on the island. Originally from Manchester where he studied music and worked with the popular band Bird To Beast, Sam now has a new baby with his partner, so touring is out of the question. However, An Tobar, the arts centre in Tobermory, are championing the musician, believing he should be more widely known. After an outstanding appearance at the Tobermory venue supporting a visiting band, they got him straight into the studio to record five of his fantastic songs for his new EP, Skin. The musicians on the recording are Christian Madden from The Earlies (currently playing keyboard in Liam Gallagher’s band), Andy Robinson and Gogs from the King Creosote on drums and bass, and Hannah Fisher from Idlewild on backing vocals.
